Raymond Jordan Back to Testimonials

When I sought treatment with SpinalAid Centers of America, I was experiencing pain in my left hip and lower back. The pain would come down my left leg, causing me to have to walk with a cane or a walker…when I could walk, and even then I could only walk a short distance and only stand for a minute or two, and then I would have to sit down. Needless to say this was not conducive to a happy family life if you wanted to do things as husband and wife together. I had been suffering for a long time…106 days as I write this, but who’s counting!

I have had two injections in the hip and one in the spine. I have had physical therapy and massages (which felt good but did nothing to help), and I used to take Vicodin 3 times a day which only masked the pain instead of curing anything. I have consulted with pain specialists several times and this did no good either.

I read about the SpinalAid program in the newspaper and called for an appointment. I began Spinal Decompression Therapy on October 5, 2005. I signed up for the full 20-session program, even though I had apprehensions at the time, like everyone else would. After a few sessions though, I realized that these apprehensions were totally unfounded.

Every doctor with whom I had consulted with said that the root of all my problems was that my low back was in “bad shape” causing the pain in my hip and the numbness and tingling in my leg and foot. Theoretically, if I could somehow get the spine straightened and strengthened, then the nerves would not be affected as much by the deteriorating discs. After that, we (my doctor and I) “should” be able to work on other problems.

I won’t say that the doctors and staff at SpinalAid Centers “cured me” but through their collective efforts, have brought me a long way up the road to a successful recovery. The entire staff is always cheerful and helpful, and has made my scheduled appointments a pleasant experience – almost like family. This is so much more than what you would expect from a doctors office.

Now, I am able to do more of things that I want to do and I am less of a burden on my family and friends to do everyday chores like going out to get the newspaper in the morning. I can sum it up in three words: I’m walking again!! After you’ve been in this program for a while you’ll ask yourself, “Why did I wait so long?”
